_ A Dark Night
Many servants of God are and have gone through very sad nights and longer periods of their lives they have absolutely no exit door they can see.
How to explain things that happen and make time stand still, as if one night it took a lifetime to go?
This is what Abraham faced. In a moment the Lord comes and asks him to sacrifice his beloved son, and then came the night. A night without sleep, anxious, sad, thinking about how to comply with whatever the Lord asked of him, as doing harm to the child who had so desired and now must sacrifice.
Another who also spent the night was Job, who in one day saw his servants arrive with tremendously sad news. In one day he lost everything. That long night must have had! Buried the children in a single day, lost all the property, everything he had. He is left with the faith and trust that with God on their side could through the night.
Jesus also went through this, facing a dark night. I knew I would be crucified, betrayed by one of his friends and abandoned by others. He faced a long, dark night to weep bitterly sweating great drops of blood.
But on nights like that happen to us? Why is it that God does not like free nights? On these nights that time seems to go so slowly?
I do not know. I wish I could tell you why, but I cannot. All I know is that after the night when the morning comes and the morning is the sun of God's blessing shines. It is what God does in the morning shine His grace and goodness.
Jesus saw the arrival of the morning God was comforted, rose and turned Lord and Savior with all power in heaven and on earth.
Abraham also saw the morning comes and was released from his obligation, she saw her son receive all the promises that the Father had done to him.
Job also saw this morning shine. He saw the Father will restore everything, especially the joy of the day.
Perhaps you are going through a long and dark night, a night where time seems to stop, where minutes seem like days and days seem an eternity, but know that tomorrow God will shine in your life, and when the morning comes it will have a different brightness everything will be clear and you can clearly see the action and power of God working in your favor.
God Himself is with you in the middle of the night He leaves you, will not let you face the darkness alone and when the day comes he promises him two joys for every tear that night gave him and his laughter will be much larger than its sorrow now.
The word declares that God will put a new song in your mouth and with this song you will praise the name of God for the wonders of the morning and tonight will be a source of comfort that you will use to comfort others who go through long nights and dark.
Trust in God! The morning sun will still shine in your life.
See you!
