What does happen when God spills his glory
II Chronicles 7
Verse One – “Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.”
When the people inaugurated the recently-finished temple Solomon King gets up and he makes a praise prayer and honor to God to thank for the wonderful blessing of having finished concluding the work. After to thank God and to consecrate Him the new temple, God makes to go down fire of the sky to burn the sacrifices that were offered. Six things happen when God spills of His glory.
1. V.2—“And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord”. When God spills of His glory there is no space for the man.
2. V.3—“they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the paviment”. When God spills of His glory all bend due to His power.
3. V.3—“and worshipped, and praise the Lord...” When God spills of His glory all adore His name.
We can see:
1. Everybody are confronted – not someone, not a lot, everybody. Spilling of the glory of God is for all.
4. V.4—“Then the king and the whole people dedicated the temple, offering sacrifices...”. When God spills of His glory all have pleasure in giving.
5. V.4--There was a willing heart. King Salomão donated twenty-two thousand oxen and hundred and twenty thousand sheep. The king had conditions of giving a lot and he gave. Today, unhappily, we see people that can give a lot for the work of God and they are keeping the alone blessing for himself. When God spills of His glory there is liberality.
V.7— The liberality of the people was so big that there was not enough space for the sacrifices. "And the glory of the Lord it filled the temple, so that the priests could not enter!". When God spills of His glory there is no space for the man.
6. V.8 a 10--When God spills of His glory the people is celebrated and turn cheerful home and of good vitality.
We should observe that, for God to spill of His glory it is necessary that you come true some stages:
1. V.11—“He completed what had planned to do”. For God to spill of His glory, we should plan our actions.
Planning = prudence
Action = commitment
2. Chapter 5--They took the chest for the temple, what means that there was great respect for the sacred objects and for the word of God.
3. Chapter 6--King Solomon now consecrating the temple to God and asking in favor of his people. When praying Solomon it recognizes the sovereignty of God openly in his life, same being a King, he was not embarrassed of serving God.
Starting from the verse 12 of the chapter 7 God begins to speak with Solomon regarding the construction of the temple and of as he would act case the people turned for Him:
1. When the people make plans does more.
2. When makes it planned shows commitment.
3. When shows care, means love.
4. When bless, pray and bless.
5. When pray, God hear.
6. When God hear, answer.
7. When God answer, bless, cure, forgives.
When God bless, spill His glory.
See you!
