Today commemorates the day in Brazil. Many gifts and many posts on social networks of childrennext to their parents, all smiling. But is it really that we're being parents? We're just doing what the word of God says to be in the lives of our children?
Proverbs 22:6 says we should instruct their children in the way he should be riding and even whenthey may grow older not would divert him. But we see the multiplication of evil, the number of youngoffenders and crimes committed by children. What are we really teaching our children?
Ephesians 6.4 says that parents should not cause anger to children, but we see this happen all the time. Parents require their children to be what they could be; to follow the path that they would like to have, engaged in the occupation that they wanted for themselves.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says that we should teach the word to the children all the time, but today we liveone life racing, no time to settle down and share the Word with our children, just demand with our authority, they read the Bible. We are generals, not parents.
I heard once that the best thing a man can do for children is to love their mother. Is it really? Love thewife is an obligation that every man has, but it's not just love. The Bible says that we must love our wives as Christ loved the Church and gave himself for her. A man must understand that the most important item of your life is the happiness of his wife, knowing that one day shall be accountable toGod for all you've done. Loving to his wife, the man will be so becoming one flesh with her, yourhome will be a place of peace and happiness. Your kids will be for their future wives what dad is for mom. Your children will want to find men who are to them what the father is for his mother.
Right now, we're no more parents and in turn in examples to be followed.
See you soon.
