How wonderful it will be when our Lord Jesus Christ comes for His Church. The proof of our faith finally be revealed. This faith that today grow even through harsh trials. As by fire, we are tested, but even in extreme suffering stand firm, believing that we shall receive the crown of glory that is reserved for those who remain steadfast and faithful to the King of kings. And when Christ returns, our faith is to be a worship crown, honor and glory to Him who's face and tell us each of us: COME blessed of my Father, receive FOR HERITAGE WHAT YOU ARE SEPARATE FROM WORLD FOUNDATION. Therefore, I invite you to remain steadfast, trusting that God is contemplating your suffering and that there will come a time when the faith that grows now in the midst of struggles, will be your entry passport to the holy city, where there will be more struggles and pain, no suffering, no death, only joy and songs of praise to Him who is worthy of all praise and honor and glory.
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. - 1 Peter 1.7

Neemiah 1: 4 - 11
"When I heard these words, I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days; and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven." The experience narrated in the book of Nehemiah has a lot to teach us. Of course we can not and must not neglect any part of it is the Scriptures, but when I look at what is written in the book of Nehemiah, learn a lot from this man. Nehemiah probably born in captivity. He was not part of the people of Israel when he was deported. He was not among those who rebelled against God's commands as to be rejected completely. Still when Nehemiah has a date with one of his brothers and asks him about the situation in which they found that dwelt in Jerusalem, your ears hear a story that never wish. The situation was more than chaotic and desperate. That people who inhabited Jerusalem, the story heard by Nehemiah, did not look like anything, the people loved by the God of heaven. Upon hearing the terrible story, Nehemiah do four things, and this can be found in verse four we read. 1. SAT DOWN - The story that Nehemiah heard, it sounded so terrible in their ears, it seems to collapse. He listens not indifferent. It pounded in his heart. 2. CRIED - How sad weakened soul of Nehemiah because of those words. That man does not hold back from suffering and his eyes shed hot tears of sadness. 3. REGRETTED - After reflecting on all that was heard and rip your heart in tears over the suffering of his people situation, Nehemiah could only lament the sad condition of life of the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 4. FTED AND PRAYED - No suffering can be comforted or decreased if not taken God. When we go through situations of extreme suffering, only the Lord can do something for us, only God can turn our mourning into laughter. Although the four verse say that this situation lasted a few days, we can deduce the content of the book of Nehemiah, who were not so few days. At least four months lasted this whole process of crying, mourning and fasting to prayer Nehemiah does. Nehemiah, knowing God and knowing his love for the people of Israel, fasts and prays that has much to teach us. Prayer of Nehemiah can be divided into six parts: 1. EXALTATION (verse 5) - The first thing Nehemiah do in your prayer is to exalt the God of heaven. No matter the situation alive. Whatever the despair that befell our soul, God is worthy to be exalted. He's not responsible for our suffering, God is the one able to deliver us, to comfort us, to move us through the darkness. 2. CRY (verse 6) - When you cry out to God, Nehemiah acknowledges his manhood and God makes it clear that he is the only one who could do something to change the situation. 3. CONFESSION (verse 7) - Nehemiah confesses the sins of the people. Recognizes that God was absolutely right when he judged the sin of the people and applied nemesis. But what more we learn here is that Nehemiah did not throw no stones at people, but is among those who have sinned against the Lord, among those who disobeyed and were punished. 4. CITA SCRIPTURE (verses 8 and 9) - On the back seven Nehemiah refers to God what is contained in the Scriptures. Nehemiah knew very well what was said to Moses, both for good and for evil. God had promised punishment for non-compliance, but had also promised escape if the people repent and return back to God. 5. SINNERS, BUT STILL SERVANTS (verse 10) - After quoting Scripture, Nehemiah says the Lord that clearly recognizes the sinfulness of the people of Israel, but he also says that although sinners they were still the chosen people of the Lord . Once they were deserving of God's favor and Nehemiah reminds the Lord that they are still part of the people whom the Lord so loved. 6. REQUEST (verse 11) - After doing one of the most beautiful prayers contained in the Scriptures, Nehemiah finally exposes the Lord your desire. He wanted nothing for himself but asked favor with the king. Even in its application, the heart of Nehemiah shows the total interest for the suffering that passed the people that were in Jerusalem. We have much to learn from Nehemiah. How often, people share their struggles and sufferings us and simply demonstrate complete disinterest. We are not slaughtered; our heart does not grieve, do not regret and do not cry. We are insensitive to the suffering, when he is not shooting down on us or our family. Another thing that amazes me in Nehemiah's attitude is his position to take as part of the people who sinned. We see a part of God's church acting sinfully and prefer to throw stones, rather than bend our knees, mourn and weep for the immense sin being committed. Nehemiah, in all shown a great example to follow. Elias Eloy Ministry Restoring Paths |
