The Apostle Peter invites us to live a holy and blameless life in absolutely everything that we do. God is holy and the only thing that is expected from each one that purports to say that serving God is that this person is also holy. After knowing the Jesus we no longer have the right to live the same way as other people. As hard as it is to hear about it, this is something that we have no choice. Or am I willing to live a holy life in my way of living or I'm not really willing to go to heaven. To be holy is not an option, but a command. I can only say that I am closer to God if I present my life always holy and righteous before God and men. I have no right to deceive; I have the right to take what does not belong to me; I have no right to be with a woman other than my wife. If God is holy I must also be holy. There is no middle ground. There is no other possibility.
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:15,16

UNTIL WHEN?
Until when the search for holiness background occupy in our lives? Until when Satan filled your heart to lie to reign in our lives? At the beginning of the walk of the Christian church, in a time when people had high hopes that Christ would return soon, the property had no value, did not represent anything. People, hopeful that the King Jesus come back and get his church, sold everything and gave the money. But it was not so with Ananias and Sapphira. And Peter, looking deep into the eyes of Ananias said, Ananias, Satan filled your heart so that you lied to the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately Satan has filled the hearts of many of us and we have lied to the Holy Spirit. We lied when we swear love for our spouse and misrepresent. We lied when we make a vow and not fulfill. We lied when we do not take a life according to the Scriptures. Until when Satan will continue filling the hearts? How many people living a liar Christian life within the church itself. How many pastors living a Christian life deceiving the faithful as they smear with pornography and adultery. Until when? Until when we will try to hide our sins rather than abandon them, even if it costs the high price? Until when holiness is not the main target of our lives? Until when? Until when? Jesus is coming again! The fool hath said in his heart, {There is} no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: {there is} none that doeth good. Salmos 53:1 This morning I was meditating on the book of Psalms and began my reading in Psalm 51 A Psalm where David asks God for forgiveness for his sin. Then I read Psalm 52, which questions the fact that the powerful man gloried in their wealth, trust your possessions, wisdom and ability, but gave no acknowledgment to God. Following my reading, I came across Psalm 53 which begins by saying that the madman says in his heart there is no God. This is a phrase we have heard from many, many mouths throughout the history of mankind. Many people choose to ignore altogether the existence of God. But what intrigued me is the following verse that says men have corrupted themselves, have done abominable iniquity. Man sins, but the sin of man is not the origin, but is a consequence. Consequence of the fact that he, foolishly, said in his heart there is no God. This is sin. This is the origin of all wickedness. When man becomes firmly in your heart, the decision to ignore the existence of God, an infinitely more powerful, wise and holy than he sins. Whenever we choose to ignore the existence of God, we have sinned. Has always been so from the beginning of the human race and will remain, until the influence of sin is completely torn from our midst. When we ignore the existence of God are led to sin. This is the great key to understanding iniquity. My prayer has three aspects. I pray, and I pray to God that I will never commit the sin of ignoring its existence, the Holy Spirit remind me twenty-four hours a day that God exists. In the second place I pray and ask God that I always keep in mind that God is God, that I have consciousness of its sovereignty over all things, even the bad things, even the saddest and darkest moments of my existence. Lastly, I pray and I pray to God that I might never forget his perfect holiness. When I have in mind that God is holy, I am led to a lifetime of searching for my entire sanctification. I am aware that nothing I do will make God more holy than it is, but I will allow myself a little closer to him and to enjoy the wonder of life at the feet of Him who created all things. Let this be your prayer too! That awareness of the existence of God is present in you and the pursuit of holiness is your biggest target. See you!
