The Apostle Peter invites us to live a holy and blameless life in absolutely everything that we do. God is holy and the only thing that is expected from each one that purports to say that serving God is that this person is also holy. After knowing the Jesus we no longer have the right to live the same way as other people. As hard as it is to hear about it, this is something that we have no choice. Or am I willing to live a holy life in my way of living or I'm not really willing to go to heaven. To be holy is not an option, but a command. I can only say that I am closer to God if I present my life always holy and righteous before God and men. I have no right to deceive; I have the right to take what does not belong to me; I have no right to be with a woman other than my wife. If God is holy I must also be holy. There is no middle ground. There is no other possibility.
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:15,16

UNTIL WHEN?
How long will keep parts of our life away from total control of the Lord? How long go on in not obeying Scripture? Until when? In the midst of a war, Achan got time to see through the rubble, a beautiful cover and wanted to be with her. Took for themselves the cover and hid it among his belongings. But the Lord had said that nothing should be taken away, all that was in the city should be destroyed. Because of the sin of Achan, thirty-six Israelis were killed. After died also Achan and his whole family. By a single sin. For a simple case. But what about us? What has been our cover? What do we have hidden in our lives? What is the cover you have hidden? What is your sin? What do you have coveted among the things the Lord has forbidden you? Maybe a dating yoked? How long this will remain hidden in your life? Even when you follow trying to hide things of the Lord? Until when? Until when? Jesus is coming again! |
